About the Department

Vision
- Grooming the women students in Chemistry, as potential human resource to satisfy the requirements of teaching, research and industry.
Mission
- To provide quality education in chemistry with principle, theory and practice.
- To make the students to cope up with the requirements of industry and service sectors.
- To educate the next generation of chemists with the capacity to solve real problems and provide leadership that can lead to the economic and social transformation.
Objectives
- To impart sufficient qualitative/quantitative analytical and synthetic chemical knowledge and skill of the students
- To impart transferrable skills, abilities, and knowledge required in a wide range of careers in basic and applied research
PO,PSO, CO
Programme Outcome
- B.Sc. Chemistry curriculum is so designed to provide the students a comprehensive
understanding about the fundamentals of chemistry covering all the principles and perspectives. - The branches of Chemistry such as Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry,
Physical Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry expose the diversified aspects of chemistry
where the students experience a broader outlook of the subject. - The syllabi of the B.Sc. Chemistry course are discretely classified to give stepwise
advancement of the subject knowledge right through the three years of the term. - The curriculum of this course kindle the students enough interest to step into the research career.
Programme Specific Outcome
- The students will understand the existence of matter in the universe as solids, liquids, and gases
Which composed of molecules, atoms and sub atomic particles - Students will learn to estimate inorganic salt mixtures and organic compounds
both qualitatively and quantitatively using the classical methods of analysis in practical classes. - : Students will grasp the mechanisms of different types of reactions both organic and
inorganic and will try to predict the products of unknown reactions. - Students will learn to synthesize the chemical compounds by maneuvering the
addition of reagents under optimum reaction conditions.
