About The Department

The department started its functioning since 1994 with 29 students in B.A. Economics program. The M.A. Economics program was started in the academic year 2007 -09 with 17 students. The students are trained to prepare to become well equipped economists and planners who can tackle new emerging imperatives in Economics and developing quantitative and analytical skills.

The department of economics aspires to

To offer the ‘light giving’ and ‘fruit –bearing’ graduation program
