Infrastructure and Learning Resources
The policy of the institution is to provide quality education to women in this rural area through updating the infrastructure facilities and by providing ICT gadgets to enhance the processes of effective teaching and learning and to meet out the changing needs of higher learning.
The management ensures that the facilities provided are superior in every respect when compared to any other institution in the city. Library e-resources such as NPTEL, NLIST, INFLBNET and other ICT gadgets are provided to enhance the effective teaching learning process. In spite of the fact that this institution is a self financed college the management constantly design and creates updated infrastructure, physical and intellectual facilities and purchase of books/journals and sophisticated equipments as continuous process by spending a sizeable sum of money.
The institution takes all efforts to sign MoUs with industries/organizations to share the facilities and to enhance the infrastructure through the generated funds. The management encourages the members of the staff to attend the refresher courses and seminars/workshops organized by other institution and the students to undergo internships and training.
Facilities for Curricular activities Classrooms
The institution has 84 class rooms and 22 laboratories. All the class rooms are sufficiently ventilated with sufficient lighting facilities and required furnitures. In addition to chalk and black boards, smart class room facilities have been provided. Class rooms, laboratories and other physical infrastructure facilities are located in Vivekanandam Block, T.V.S. Block , Dr. V.V. Block and G.N. Block .
Technology Enabled Learning Spaces (TELS)
Totally 10 Smart class room facilities have been provided with all ICT enabled teaching-learning gadgets to fulfill the requirements of 10 departments. The facilities include computer, LCD projector, speakers, collar mikes and smart board.
- ICT enabled teaching-learning facilities English Language laboratory for LSRW (Learning, speaking, reading and writing) skill development
- Smart class room facilities for each department
- Seminar/Conference halls and auditorium for interaction with experts and for conducting seminars/workshops/conferences/meetings
- Learning resources such as library facilities, book banks, laboratory equipments, well furnished laboratories, NPTEL, INFLIBNET/N-LIST membership, etc., are provided
- 8 Mbps “BSNL” dedicated leased line network with Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the campus is available. A centralized reprographic facility is provided for the use of the staff and students.
Seminar/Conference Hall
- There are two Air-Conditioned Seminar/Conference Halls, one is in the Vivekanandam Block and the another one is in the T.V.S. Block. LCD projector, Computer, white board, podium and audio arrangements are provided in each seminar/conference hall.
- Air-conditioned the conference hall with seating capacity 260 students has been created
- The seminar hall with the seating capacity 300 students has also been created
- Besides the seminar/conference hall, there is a multipurpose hall with the seating capacity of1200 students
- There is a Board Room in the Vivekanandam Block to conduct the meeting of the Managing Committee.
Tutorial spaces
Students profiles are documented, maintained and updated by the tutor incharge and monitored by the Head of the Department and the Principal. Each tutor takes care of 25 students and meets them periodically. The tutor discusses the academic progress and identifies the personal problems faced by the students through closed door interactions. Three separate full furnished tutorial rooms are available for this purpose.

The Libraries (General and MBA /MCA library) support teaching and learning with books, journals, e-books, e-journals, providing access to internet access.

IT infrastructure

All 490 systems are connected through LAN and Wi-Fi Connection. LAN is established by star and hyper net topologies.
Wi-Fi facilityWi-Fi facility is provided with ubiquiti wireless networking device with two access points in thecollege campus. Each access point covers a range of 5 kilo meter radius. The two D-Link DWL-3000have been installed in the conference hall and general library.
Number of nodes/computers with Internet facilityAll the 490 systems are supported with internet facility. Bharath Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) provides 1:1 ratio Leased Line internet service to our campus with bandwidth of 8 Mbps.
Maintenance of Campus Facilities
The institution ensures optimum allocation and utilization of available funds for maintenance of building, furniture, equipments, computers and vehicles by discussing it in the meeting of the management council .
- Periodic servicing of the infrastructure facilities such as lights, fan, A/C and lift, equipments etc., is carried out by hiring skilled technicians.
- A full time system administrator looks after computer laboratory
- A complaint notebook is maintained in the office in which repairs, if any, and the working status of the equipments could be registered
- A senior staff takes measures to set right the defects reported
- Plumbers and electricians are always available for repair work
- Office manager and maintenance engineer look after the maintenance of buses
- Vehicles are mostly in the college service garage
- Full time class IV employees clean the campus every day
- Scavengers clean and maintain the sanitary facilities of the college and hostel
- Clean campus committee checks the cleanliness in kitchen/store room/dining section/sanitary facilities and cleanliness of cooks and other staff in the student’s hostel
- The campus is maintained as polythene free campus
- Mosquito control fogging machine fitted with a vehicle to control mosquitoes is available in the campus
- Conoweeder has been provided to remove the unwanted weeds
- Buildings are periodically white/colour washed
- Solar Power Plant (20 KW) has been installed in the Vivekanandan Block
- Rain water harvesting system has been implemented to recharge the ground water level
