About The Department














“An Exclusive Entrance for Executives of Tomorrow”
STET School of Management, an exclusive management school, started MBA program, in the year 2001 with the approval of AICTE, New Delhi.It is affiliated to the Bharathidasan University, Thiruchirappalli. The main aim of establishing this business school is to identify and train the future managers of the country from among the rural graduates. This school has grown from strength to strength and at present there are 40 students to get MBA degree every year.The department has well qualified faculty members in the field of Management Studies. The objective of the Department is to facilitate job opportunities through practical and skill oriented programmes. Resources available at the department are made user friendly.

Programme Specific Outcome
- Encourage student on their professional development plans by reflecting on their first year’s learning and Summer Internship experiences.

- Providing a Strong analytical foundation in key functional areas and the other, enabling a high degree of academic flexibility, thereby allowing students to customize their MBA experience.
SCOPE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES
India is one of the many countries that has grown and is still growing rapidly in the Industrial respect. Thus, the demand as well as popularity of business related courses also took a rapid jump. MBA is one of the most popular as well as widely chosen courses amongst the other entire business related courses. This is because MBA has its own values that make it superior to other courses, and hence it has wide scopes and job prospects. |
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
As per the AICTE norms, only students with an aggregate of not less than 50% in main papers (III part) at the degree level are eligible for admission to MBA.This condition is strictly followed at the time of admission. Since MBA is the AICTE approved programmes the students have to appear either for TANCET conducted by the Anna University,Chennai;or CET conducted by the Consortium of Selffinancing colleges of Tamilnadu.The candidates are admitted as per the University and Government norms. |
Seats under the Quota are filled through counseling conducted by the Anna University on the basis of marks obtained in TANCET and the seats under Management quota are filled on the basis of marks obtained in part III at UG level and CET examination. |

DEPARTMENT CLUB
Observes, Perceivers, Achievers andLeaders (OPAL CLUB) was established to showcase the Managerial skills of the students. Everyday one hour is allotted for Co-Curricular Activities (CCA).
