For two decades STET Women’s College has been the benchmark for excellence in women education built on the strong foundation of trust and prudence. Ours is a dynamic institution of higher learning located in a rural Milieu of TamilNadu, affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. We provide high quality education that facilitates evaluation, sustenance and enhancement of quality and accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade with 3.45 grading point.I feel proud to announce that i have been selected as the NAAC Peer team member from the academic year 2018-2019.
The Indian economy is transforming into an international power house requiring India to have the best possible educational opportunities for the citizens. The growth of India’s Economy is critically dependent on education and skill development. India will have a great advantage in terms of demographic dividend, with the largest young population. To use this opportunity, India will have to provide right kind of education and skill development to the youth. We seek to raise the gross enrollment ratio in higher education from 15% to 30% by 2020. The outcome of the globalization also increases the demand for quality education and higher education. Women contribute 50% of our human capital today and are responsible for the entire human capital of tomorrow undoubtedly.
We need a system that keeps the women empowered to groom the global citizens of the future. Therefore women education and empowerment need to be in any agenda as it is fundamental to social and economic development and to take women to the next level of thinking and to help women to recognize their complete potential and to become a successful resource person.
Many learners of our institution are first generation learners and we lead to widespread concern on the quality and relevance of the higher education. Educational Transformation, Sustainable investment, Innovation, Inclusion and diversity equal education, Quality of learning, Scalability, Monitoring and Evaluation are the methods practised by the institution to attain excellence with the support of the management, faculty members, students and stakeholders.
To empower the women, our institution imparts education at a nominal and affordable cost. To take part in the National Economic Development, our institution motivates the students to become graduates with excellence in education by way of providing quality education with the support of well defined infrastructural facilities, ICT enabled Teaching Methods, Centralized Research Centre, Advanced Lab instruments, Organic form, Counseling cell for the under privileged people, farmers and school students.
In addition to the students’ behaviour, soft skills, attitudes and extra skills are enriched among the students to face the competitive world to get the placement in reputed organizations. We have future plans for the enhancement of higher education i.e. Exclusive Centre for Research in Science, Management and humanities.
